The Geneva Lakefront Concert Series continues!

Join us this Wednesday, July 17th from 6-8pm for live music at the Lakefront by Flint Creek! Modern Country covers with a rock edge and a few great classics mixed in. Flint Creek has just the right amount of seasoning to keep the sounds tasty and fresh. Enjoy this energetic and interactive performance from one of the area’s favorite bands. Country with a kick!

The concert series is FREE and open to all. Bring your own chair or blanket and enjoy the show! Food and drink will be available for purchase. Featured food trucks are La Monarka & Momma's Got You. Sweets and goodies available from Simple Sweets Bakery. Beverages and popcorn available from the Welcome Center, you can find them set up on their patio!

The Ironman Musselman Triathlon is taking place this Sunday, July 14th! Good luck to all the athletes competing this weekend!

Please watch for athletes while out traveling. Adhere to any posted no parking signs and watch for traffic control flaggers. Please note that the boat launch at Lakefront Park will be closed Friday-Sunday (7/12-7/14). Parking at Long Pier will be closed on Sunday 7/14.

Make sure to still attend the Farmers Market on Saturday, July 13th! It will be taking place in the usual location from 8am-1pm.

The City of Geneva is actively recruiting residents to serve in critical roles on City Boards, Committees, and Commissions. There are a range of opportunities to engage in and support the economic and community development functions of the City, and shape the future of your community.

Current opportunities to serve include the Board of Assessment Review, Geneva Housing Commission, Historic Districts Commission, Human Rights Commission, Planning Board, Police Budget Advisory Board, Recreation and Youth Advisory Board, and the Shade Tree Committee.

City of Geneva Water System Flushing Program 2024

CITY OF GENEVA WATER USERS:

THE CITY OF GENEVA WATER MAINTENANCE DEPT. WILL BE CONDUCTING ITS ANNUAL WATER MAIN FLUSHING PROGRAM BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:30AM AND 3:00 PM MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. FLUSHING IS CONDUCTED ANNUALLY TO REMOVE SEDIMENT FROM THE WATER MAINS AND TO CHECK THE OPERATING CONDITION OF FIRE HYDRANTS, SECTION BY SECTION, THROUGHOUT THE CITY.

THE WORK INVOLVES LITTLE OR NO INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE, ALTHOUGH A SLIGHT DISCOLORATION OF THE WATER MAY OCCUR IN AREAS WHERE FLUSHING IS UNDERWAY (OTHER AREAS MAY BE AFFECTED AT TIMES).

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT NO LAUNDRY BE DONE IN THE SCHEDULED AREAS BETWEEN 7:30 AM AND 3:00 PM.

QUESTIONS REGARDING PERSISTENT WATER QUALITY PROBLEMS, SHOULD THEY OCCUR, CAN BE DIRECTED TO THE WATER MAINTENANCE DEPT. AT 789-8070 OR THE CITY ENGINEERING OFFICE AT 789--3101.

FACTORS BEYOND OUR CONTROL MAY CHANGE THE FLUSHING SCHEDULE (EX. WATER MAIN BREAK). WE APPRECIATE YOUR PATIENCE AND CO-OPERATION WITH OUR CONTINUED EFFORTS TO IMPROVE WATER SERVICE IN THE CITY.
