lakefront concert series

The Geneva Lakefront Concert Series continues!

Join us this Wednesday, July 24th from 6-8pm for live music at the Lakefront by The Zydeco Trail Riders! The Zydeco Trail Riders, from the Ithaca area and together since 2004, are a regional favorite, performing lively zydeco music to get you up and moving! Listen for the genius of traditional zydeco that includes the accordion and the rubboard, and shares a diverse blend of blues and Louisiana Creole indigenous soul. Join us for night of up-beat danceable music right on the edge of Seneca Lake.

The concert series is FREE and open to all. Bring your own chair or blanket and enjoy the show! Food and drink will be available for purchase. Featured food trucks are Momma's Got You & Taste of Soul. Sweets and goodies available from Simple Sweets Bakery. Beverages and popcorn available from the Welcome Center, you can find them set up on their patio!

As a reminder, there is NO Farmers Market next week on August 3rd.

The Glorious Garlic Festival is taking place Saturday, August 3rd 10:30am-6pm & Sunday, August 4th 10:30am-5pm at Lakefront Park! Parking for the event will be in the lawn between 41 Lakefront Hotel & the Finger Lakes Welcome Center- cars can access the parking from E Castle St- follow signs and traffic flaggers. The boat launch will be closed on Saturday 8/3 & Sunday 8/4.

The City of Geneva is actively recruiting residents to serve in critical roles on City Boards, Committees, and Commissions. There are a range of opportunities to engage in and support the economic and community development functions of the City, and shape the future of your community.

Current opportunities to serve include the Board of Assessment Review, Geneva Housing Commission, Historic Districts Commission, Human Rights Commission, Planning Board, Police Budget Advisory Board, Recreation and Youth Advisory Board, and the Shade Tree Committee.

Interested in speaking at regular scheduled City Council meetings? There are no time restrictions on signing up to speak. Below are the numerous ways to sign up:

paddleboat 2024

The City of Geneva is offering storage space for kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddleboards, and other pre-approved paddlecrafts at Lakefront Park. The storage season is May 1st through November 1st, 2024.

Fees:

Resident: $100/rack space

Non-Resident: $125/rack space

*One paddlecraft per rack space, spaces are first-come, first-serve*
