City of Geneva Property Owners and ResidentsDEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS FALL 2024 YARD DEBRIS & LEAF PICK UP SCHEDULEThe City of Geneva’s fall collection and removal of bagged yard debris begins on Monday, October 21st and ends Friday, December 6th. After December 5, collection will be weather permitting with no set schedule. Please place leaves and yard debris between the sidewalk and behind the curb for city removal. Please do not block storm drainage units. Please place all leaves and other suitable debris in paper bags. No plastic bags are allowed. The city will provide a limited amount of paper leaf bags, at the Clerk’s office, located on the first floor of City Hall, 47 Castle Street. Leaf bag pickup will be available during normal business hours Monday – Friday 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM Please prepare brush and branch debris to be no longer than 4 feet and not more than 6 inches in diameter. Consolidating small piles of leaves into larger piles will help expedite leaf pick up. Please do not store debris behind guiderail or in drainage ditches. Crews will not remove debris from private property, near parked cars or in plastic bags. No construction debris, lumber, plastic, garbage, glass, furniture, bedding, tires, stumps, rocks, metal or other bulk waste items will be picked up. Please consider recycling and coordinate with your trash hauler for these items. You are encouraged to bring all yard debris to the Resource Recovery Park at 41 Doran Avenue on Wednesday 7:30AM - 3:00PM & Saturday 8:00AM - 12:00PM where a limited amount of FREE MULCH will be available to residents.  The Ontario County Emergency Management Office is updating its Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan.The Emergency Plan utilizes a Whole Community approach which brings together all levels of government, volunteer, faith-based, community-based, other non-governmental organizations, the private sector and the public to better prepared for, respond to and recover from disasters. To assist in this effort, we would like to hear from Residents and Businesses alike in Ontario County.Below is the link to the survey. Please share this with your members that live in Ontario County. Small Business Loans for Ontario CountyThe Ontario County Economic Development Corporation, in partnership with Canandaigua National Bank & Trust Co., has launched the Expansion and Growth Loan for Enterprise (EAGLE Fund), a new small business loan program designed to stimulate business expansion and job creation in Ontario County. The EAGLE Fund offers loans ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 for both new and existing small businesses within Ontario county. Eligible businesses from a range of sectors—including manufacturing, retail, services, tourism, and agriculture—that meet lawful business requirements can apply. Loan funds can be used for diverse business needs, such as purchasing machinery, equipment, or inventory, acquiring or remodeling buildings, training employees, or covering working capital. Key benefits of the EAGLE Fund include a fixed interest rate of 2.50% and flexible loan terms from one to five years.
