Introducing the Pride in Geneva Award

The Geneva Industrial Development Agency (IDA) is proud to launch the first-ever Pride in Geneva Award, an initiative recognizing residents and property owners who have made exceptional improvements to their homes or residential buildings. Spearheaded by IDA board member Lowell Dewey, the program celebrates both high- and lower-cost renovations as well as the preservation of historic apartment buildings near Pulteney Park.

The award program was led by Lowell Dewey, a local architect and builder. Catherine Price from the Geneva Business Improvement District and Neal Braman, the City’s Superintendent of Building & Zoning, played key roles in identifying the honorees and developing the presentation. Each recipient will receive a custom plaque featuring the City of Geneva and HEP Materials logos. HEP has also generously donated a bucket of building materials to each awardee.

The presentation will be held on Friday, May 30 at 6 PM at the Bozzuto Center (22 Castle St.). Honored properties include:

·  William Street’s Bottle Land Wine & Spirits (formerly the Corner Market)

·  300 Jay Street

·  442 Castle Street

·  2–4 Park Place

·  The Rex on Main (505 S. Main Street)

Congratulations to these property owners for their outstanding contributions to Geneva’s character and quality of life!
