Castle Street Reconstruction, Phase I

Villager Construction will begin utility work on Castle Street between Brook Street and Main Street starting October 4, with typical working hours of (but not limited to) 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

East and Westbound through-traffic on Castle Street may be affected as required to perform work.
Parking may be limited overnight and during construction hours.
Access to businesses and residences will be maintained throughout the project.
Work will continue for the foreseeable future, as the capital improvement project progresses.
All work and schedules are subject to change due to weather and or unforeseen conditions.

City of Geneva Sewer Improvement Work – Starts October 29

The Geneva DPW will begin sewer improvement projects across several city streets starting Tuesday, October 29. Work is expected to continue for about one week, weather permitting.

Affected Areas:

Twomey Pl, Park Ave, Prospect Ave, North Ave, Maple St, Pleasant St, Larchmont St, and all intersecting streets.

What to Expect:

Temporary lane closures and alternating traffic patterns

Limited parking and through-traffic during work hours

Parking restrictions will be posted by DPW

Join the City of Geneva Zoning Board of Appeals

The City of Geneva is seeking residents interested in serving on the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA). The ZBA considers appeals, variance requests, and interpretations of the City’s zoning ordinances to guide responsible development in our community.

Qualifications:

Must be a resident of the City of Geneva.
A strong interest in planning, land-use policy, or public service is desirable.
Prior experience is helpful but not required.

Meetings:
The Board meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at Geneva City Hall.

The LDC currently has one vacancy to be filled. The LDC is looking for applicants employed by a local financial institution with experience in construction lending.

Preference will be given to financial institutions located within the City of Geneva. Institutions outside the City must demonstrate an ongoing and renewed commitment to Geneva
